Unbrelievable Week in Review

March 22-28th
Monday: Went for dinner at the Rosedale Diner. Check out their website, it’s a throwback to the Angelfire Geocities days for sure. That’s right, I ventured north of bloor! I didn’t get any nosebleeds, and my ears didn’t pop. I did get drenched in the rain, however.
Tuesday: Floor hockey game against The Cobras (lame name guys, super lame). We won 7-5. I managed to get through the game with only yelling at someone once.
Wednesday: Sprout Up with the HootSuite team. Dinner at Hemingways, drinks and dancing at Le Reposado for Spy vs Sly vs Spy.
Thursday: Dinner at the The Rivoli. Then a party and a half at Tryst Nightclub for TwestivalTO. Met a lot of great twitter people, who are an inspiration for another blog post I have coming.
Friday: I wanted to have a night in and hide from everyone, but ended up partaking in the lovely Wine Friday that we have at work. Great conversations and discussions, and found some great new music like Joe Purdy. Got home to some friends at my doorstep who came by for some wine. They went out, I passed out from a long week.
Saturday: Spent a lovely day helping my sister pick out a birthday dress on Queen West. We initially went to the always amazing Pho Pa, but we had no luck. She ended up getting a beautiful dress from Response instead. For dinner, we headed to the Beaconsfield where I enjoyed my favourite Crisy Chicken Supreme, and my sister and husband had the burger. A few beers, and Caesars later, it was time for me to get ready for my evening.
I participated in Earth Hour, which meant I did my makeup by candlelight. I then travelled to the East End (after seeing a scary scene of what is most likely a murder on the drive there) to enjoy some amazing Vodka Martinis (dry, chilled with olives and Pravda Vodka) at Rasputin Vodka Bar. I talked to the waitress and they offer $110 bottle service Saturdays. It gets packed, apparently. I will have to go back. Then, on to the Rivoli for Footprints. Amazing music, I wanted to dance very badly but hadn’t quite gotten the courage. Great night. A lot of fun.
I then came home to a Foursquare case study. I saw my friend had checked into my apartment building (which I don’t even do, that’s a bit sketchy). This is a friend, but not a close friend, so I didn’t have his number. I clicked his name on my iPhone and up popped a notification asking me if I wanted to call, text, email, tweet, Facebook message or shout out to him. I texted him asking where he was, showed up to the apartment with a bottle of wine in hand, and watched Entourage with him and his buddy. It was like university residence all over again. Hi Craig from 403! I hope you are editing this for typos as I type this.
